All sourced materials comply with the mandated government standards of their respective countries of origin and meet all requirements set by the USDA. A: Lactose is not added to our formula but it is already present in Thyroid USP raw material as a diluent per USP (United States Pharmacopeia). Lactose is not contraindicated for individuals with allergies to dairy, as lactose is a milk sugar (vs. dairy allergies which are caused by proteins in milk). It is, however, contraindicated for individuals with lactose intolerance. We have had many physicians reporting no side effects while using Nature-Throid with lactose intolerant patients. A: Use as prescribed by your doctor. Take as a single dose on an empty stomach, at least 30-60 minutes before consuming food or caffeine. A: Store WP Thyroid and Nature-Throid at room temperature, 59°-86°F (15°-30°C), away from heat, moisture, and light. Dispense in tight, light-resistant containers as defined in the USP/NF. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
A: Nature-Throid and WP Thyroid are natural medications that use Thyroid USP, naturally derived thyroid hormones, as the active ingredient. Just like anything else from nature, batches of these medications will never be identical and may even differ in coloring, or "speckling", and even in smell. These are only sensory differences and do not affect efficacy. Since WP Thyroid is uncoated and formulated with minimal pure ingredients, the tablets can change color by absorbing ambient humidity. If the tablets are stored in their original container and at room temperature (59° (15°) – 86° F (30° C) with an ambient humidity of 10-65%, no discoloration occurs. However, exposed tablets outside of proper storage conditions still conform to USP specifications for both T4 and T3 potency and stability. You can find full Prescribing Information and ingredient lists for WP Thyroid and Nature-Throid on their respective pages. Please consult with your healthcare provider if you have any medical or health-related questions.
A: Wait 30-60 minutes after taking a WP Thyroid or Nature-Throid dose before consuming any caffeine products.

A: Armour rounds their milligram amounts, while WP Thyroid and Nature-Throid provide a more precise number. So while Armour says 60mg and WP Thyroid and Nature-Throid say 65mg, the gram amounts are actually the same.
A: RLC Labs utilizes USDA and CFIA-certified pigs, which are treated humanely and not given blanket hormones or antibiotics unless specifically needed. You can learn more about USDA standards here and CFIA here.
A: No, but we understand the importance of organically raised pigs and hope to have an organic option available in the future.
